As a Snow Removal Operator, you will play a vital role in keeping local businesses and residents safe during winter weather by ensuring parking lots, driveways, and walkways remain clear and accessible. This is a part-time, on-call seasonal position based entirely on winter weather conditions. Employees are called in only when snow, ice, or other inclement weather creates a need for snow removal services.

Because hours are weather-dependent, there are no guaranteed hours or regular weekly schedule. During periods without winter weather events, employees may not be scheduled to work.

Candidates should understand that snow events can occur at any time and may require availability during early mornings, evenings, overnight hours, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate wheel loaders, skid steers, or salt trucks to remove snow and ice from designated areas
• Maintain safe and accessible parking lots, driveways, and pathways for customers
• Respond promptly to snow and ice events, often working overnight and in challenging weather conditions
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures while operating equipment
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding site conditions and progress

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating heavy equipment such as wheel loaders, skid steers, or salt trucks
• Dependable and safety-focused work ethic
• Reliable transportation and on-call availability during snow events
• Ability to work long shifts, including overnight hours, during storms
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs as needed
• Punctuality and strong attendance record

Compensation

$40.00 per hour
